Location & Info

NIOSA is held in La Villita in Downtown. Steer-on-a-Stick is located inside of the area called Frontier Town. The best way for volunteers to enter is at the entrance at Nueva and S. Alamo. NIOSA runs rom 5:30 to 10:30 each night. Volunteers can enter earlier.

You must have your volunteer wristband and the waiver signed before they will let you in.

You cannot bring your own coolers in. We will have beer in the booth you can donate to.

The Wally Meeks "MPV" Award was created in 2018 to celebrate Steer-on-a-Stick's most important volunteers for the year and also lifetime achievements. In a drunken, dyslexic haze, Dingle wrote MPV instead of MVP. Instead of fixing it, we embraced it.
